Bottle, 33cL. Home. A very dark brown beer with mahogany hues. Large thin light beige foam. Persistant. Fruit aroma (red berries, blackberries), spices, bread, (light) caramel. Refreshing. First, medium bitterness then medium sweetness which adds spicy warming character. Full body. Medium texture. Average (appropriate) carbonation. Long sweet finish. Overall, a great experience. Complex warming beer but you can still find space where you can breath.

I thought impressions we received in the beginning and the Na I smell like soy sauce when I smell the fragrance by opening the stopper of the bottle. But it’s Trappist beer of basic and finished in a good balance taste. But I lack something interesting.

Amber-brown pour. Nose of light toasted malt and fruity yeast esters. Flavor is toasted malt, faint cherry, light plum, and a super light trail of roasted malt/cocoa. Ultimately a very "light" dubbel with scaled back roast/toast qualities. Easier to drink but not overly complex. Nice.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein minimal trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig süß, alkoholisch, belgische Hefe. Geschmack sehr malzig alkoholisch, fruchtig, würzig

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy ruby / dark copper brown with abundant, stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit, caramel, and flowers. Sweet taste of fruit and caramel malt, with bitter notes of hops. Warming alcohol presence. Long, bittersweet finish. Well-balanced, tasty, and enjoyable. Really good.

Bottle bought some place I can’t remember. Pours dark brown with a big frothy goldenish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some soapy trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is malty, estery and phenolic with sweet dark bread, caramelized apples, hay, caramel, baked pears, moist soil, charred wood, overripe plums, alcohol, toffee and subtle hints of sheet metal and banana bread. Taste is slightly sweet, tiny bitter, malty and tiny phenolic with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, leather, hay, raisin bran, baked pears, caramelized apples, prunes, moist soil, wood and hints of alcohol, cookie dough and marzipan. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny dry and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, tiny bitter, malty and phenolic with caramel, toffee, overripe pears, overripe apples, hay, soil, wood, leather and hints of lemon zest. Very balanced and very tasty.

Flaske 0,33l fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Drukket i heimen 6 Jun 13. Dypbrun/amber. Veldig høyt kremaktig skum som varer. Pen kniplingslacing. God søt plommearoma. Smaken forsterker plommepreget som gradvis får mer og mer innslag av mandler. KI=7.
