My first beer from this brewer. +++ Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark nut brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized fluffy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was bready and sweetish with notes of cherry, honey, apricot and a hint of vinegar. The flavor was very bready and fairly sweet with a solid toffee presence and light touches of nut, cherry, tea, apricot and a slight boozy undertone. Long finish of toffee, bread and nut. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. I have this bottle almost for a year on my cellar, Light brown/deep ruby colour, with a big, three fingers tall head. Off white in colour, soapy in texture. Very good retention, leaving light to medium lacing around the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and faint caramel, chocolate, light alcohol. Taste of red grapes, roasted malts, chocolate albeit mostly on the aftertaste. Mildly sweet. Very good. Quite high carbonation, full on the body and somewhat sticky on the palate. Overall a very nice dubbel that it became even better when it warmed up a bit. Nice, warming feeling from the alcohol, which is not that notable on the taste.

Deep caramel and purple fruit aroma with candy and yeast and all kinds of other complex Belgian Strong goodness. In the mouth: toffee candy, caramel, purple fruit, booze, brown sugar, yeast, carbonation, some bitterness in finish. Nomnom! Another terrific Belgian Strong.

Clear warm brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma and taste are overripe fruit, yeast, raisins, caramel roasted malts. It’s rather sweet. Body is ok, but might have been fuller.

Bottle 33 cl from Boissons Center - Montagny (CH). Reddish brown with a nice high beige head, draeing to the glass, alert crackling. Aromas of malt, toffy, ripe fruits and roasted. The taste is soft, toffy-candy, raisin and cherry, dry fruits. Pleasant, fruity yeast, well in mouth, nice beer. Roasted finish, point of coffee and black cherry, earthy bitterness.

Waves of yeasty dark fruit, some caramel, spice, easy to put down. One of the last Trappistbiers I have tried, crappy that it took so long.
