Pretty good but not in the league of Rochefort or Westvleteren. It’s a little bit "hot" but not so much so as the regular 8. It lacks the caramel plum smoothness of the much stronger, previously mentioned beers. This one tastes like 12% where the others taste more like this beer’s 8%. It does have a nice warming effect though. Overall a good beer but not as much so when I can buy Rochefort 10 for the same price.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a cloudy reddish brown appearance with a lasting brown head. A little bit of dust in the nose with candy sugar, toffee, plum, fig, and a bit zippy yeast. Soft mouth feel. Slightly boozy finish. Lots of grape jam, red plums, cinnamon / nutmeg / spicy yeast, and caramel in the flavor. A whole lot going on and quite delicious. Better than 90% of the other garbage I’ve had of late.
