very hazy yellow colour, huge, though not too dense white head; aroma of fruits like peach and grape, wine cellar, some earthy notes, some grains and floral notes; well bllanced bittersweet taste with grape and white wine notes, some candy sugar, grains, minimal alcohol and hints of peppery notes;excellent trappist beer, I’m fully amazed!

Beautiful golden color. Little cloudy. Nice layer of foam. Fresh smell. Taste is bitter in the end, but sweet at first. Beautifully balanced, nice craftsmanship of the monks. God, do I love Trappist beer.

19/06/2016 @home - 75cl bottle from the abbey. Hazy orange with nice creamy, rocky head. Nice lively carbonation. Nose is sweet malts, fruity hops, candi sugar. Taste is sweet malty, bitter hops with fruitiness (especially peach), candi sugar and a little sour thing. Love this

APPEARANCE - Clear amber with 2-finger head that lasts. Good lacing. AROMA/SCENT - Hops, grain, sweet. TASTE - Hops, nutty, bread. ABV mostly hidden. MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Good carbonation, clean, light, effervescent, crisp, refreshing. VALUE - $10 for an 11 oz. bottle - not that bad for an import at a restaurant. OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - Quite drimkable for a Tripel. Not a sipping beer.

75cl bottle shared with the crusty crew. Hazy dark golden with white head. Orange up front, fresh apricots, yeast, light doughy, herbs, sugary with soft caramel and fudge. Quite nice fruity sweetness with soft bitter finish. Above medium bodied with full carbonation. Very nice beer.

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The beer is hazy and yellow, with a finger of white head that leaves some good lacing behind. The aroma brings some yeast, citrus, spice, malt, and subtle alcohol. Nice flavor, well balanced. Lots of citrus, slightly sweet. Yeast and spices add depth and complexity. A delicious beer. So glad to try this rare Trappist ale. Recommended. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-02-2011

Flaska från Biersgourmete.be drucken med ölföreningen. ett riktigt godisöl. Påminner om Het Ankers Keizerbleu. Men riktigt trevlig.

Fruktig, rund, len, oljig konsistens. Stor sötma, äppelmustaktig. Fantastisk i gommen.
