3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden, ruby pour with very little lacing. Sweet, sour apple cherry aroma is way more complex than the flavor. The medium body levels out into a slight bitter finish. The super high carbonation of this bottle made it feel more like a cherry 7up, but it was still very enjoyable.

750ml bottle 2004 - 3 wijzen @ Kulminator. Light brown, brown head. Nose: chocolate, moccha, gentle and teasing. Taste: caramel, chocolate, some hop bitterness but overall very soft, subtile, smooth, balanced. aged VERY well. For a 2004 brew, no old bottle effect, beer kept its character. great beer.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2013 Shared 75cl bottle. Mmm. Really good stuff. Boozy, sweet but yet quite balanced. Dark fruits, maple syrup and other good flavors. Very heavy, perfect for finishing of a good dinner.

totally stunning. it has weight and richness and wonderful malt/yeast complexities while still having a lightness- an almost sour edge that makes it so drinkable. A pleasure.

75cl bottle into tulip. Lille.
Appearance: massive offwhite head with lots of retention. Complete opaque liquid. Deep brown with a touch of amber.
Aroma: toffee, roasted malt, fruit, apple?
Taste: relatively dry for a quad. Bitter finish, but not over bearing.
Palate: full body, thick oily texture. Medium long finish.
Overall: this is a big beer with a lot of complexity. On the drier side for a quad. A good strong palate. Not my favorite quad, but an excellent beer overall.

Murky bronze appearance. Pungent baking soda smell. Smells briny but good. Aroma is intriguing and scary at the same time. Fantastic organic, nutty flavor. Terrific drinkability. This is a lovely beer overall.

75cl bottle. Dark brown with medium to big head. Nose : cooked fruits, tart, dried dates, sweet cheese, toffee and caramel, pear. Sip : Medium to full body, creamy texute, smooth with good carbonation. Sweet with strong notes of fruits and malt. Getting bitter with a hint of sour. The bitter malts prevails until the end. Cloying sweet through. This is a huge beer.
