Bottled. Hazy orange colour, not much head. Aroma is spicy, bready, fruity, diacetylic toffeeish and some slight sweetness. Flavour is spices, caramel and grass along with some sour fruityness. Aftertaste keeps the spicyness and fruityness.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of pepper and fruity yeast. The flavor is crisp with fruits and pepper, the hops feel noble, mild sweetness and tartness. The body is medium with an oily texture and lively carbonation. This isn’t a great belgian ale, but it does the job well.

Tap, at ZBF 2006. Gold, good white head and moderate condition. Gentle spicy aroma with a slight background earthy barnyard note, low spicy fruitiness in the mouth with a vague wild yeastiness, gentle spicy and fruity finish.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with some good retention and some nice lacing feature. Aroma consists of spicy yeast with some nice yeast ester also noticeable. Taste consists of some spices, some fruity ester and a nice dry Saaz hoppy finish. Body is about average with some good carbonation. I really enjoyed the hoppy finish and the refreshing aspect of this beer.

Eructoblaster (3336) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 23, 2007
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy pale blond body with average carbonation and a decent white foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with light citrusy and yeasty notes. Taste is refreshing and well balanced. It carries some honeyish hints and ends with a fair bittersweet finish. Good summer beer.

probstblueribbon (3277) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 15, 2007
330 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear, medium golden, large white meringue. Aroma: A bit of yeast, lemony tang, light coriander spiciness, a bit of honey and candi sugar sweetness. Palate: Medium body, medium-light effervescence, a bit astringent. Flav.: Soft and sweet, a bit of lemon/citrus, some honey, a touch of funk, a bit of yeast; a bit of alcohol and a bit of bitterness on the finish.

Simple, but so am I. A bit.

thewolf (11439) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2007
Bottle @ YNWA, Kolding. A hazy pale yellow with a small creamy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is a little musky with a good deal of sweet malts. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is little dull, sweet, malty with a slight sour note at the end. Could have been better with just a little more ’power’.

BeerBiker (1413) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2007
[Bottle from Skjold Burne, Hjallesevej sampled in 2004.] A nice summerfriendly beer without the amounts of ingredients, but as a belgian ale it’s ok in this way. Bitterness, yeasty, fruitsweet in the light ale way. An ok beer.
