Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with some good retention and some nice lacing feature. Aroma consists of spicy yeast with some nice yeast ester also noticeable. Taste consists of some spices, some fruity ester and a nice dry Saaz hoppy finish. Body is about average with some good carbonation. I really enjoyed the hoppy finish and the refreshing aspect of this beer.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy pale blond body with average carbonation and a decent white foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with light citrusy and yeasty notes. Taste is refreshing and well balanced. It carries some honeyish hints and ends with a fair bittersweet finish. Good summer beer.

probstblueribbon (3160) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 15, 2007
330 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear, medium golden, large white meringue. Aroma: A bit of yeast, lemony tang, light coriander spiciness, a bit of honey and candi sugar sweetness. Palate: Medium body, medium-light effervescence, a bit astringent. Flav.: Soft and sweet, a bit of lemon/citrus, some honey, a touch of funk, a bit of yeast; a bit of alcohol and a bit of bitterness on the finish.

Simple, but so am I. A bit.

thewolf (11303) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2007
Bottle @ YNWA, Kolding. A hazy pale yellow with a small creamy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is a little musky with a good deal of sweet malts. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is little dull, sweet, malty with a slight sour note at the end. Could have been better with just a little more ’power’.

[Bottle from Skjold Burne, Hjallesevej sampled in 2004.] A nice summerfriendly beer without the amounts of ingredients, but as a belgian ale it’s ok in this way. Bitterness, yeasty, fruitsweet in the light ale way. An ok beer.

33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Aug 07. Dark blond, modest head, abundance of yeast flakes. Malty and spicy nose with hints of honey, tea, horse raddish and even - mustard. Very round, smooth-bodied malty taste with a touch of spiced honey cake and again some spicy mustardlike notes. A hint of cherries and a certain earthiness as well.

JoeinDahlem (1347) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - APR 17, 2007
Pale gold blonde with very little head and heavy pils leanings. Faint straw aroma with some malt. Nicely bitter, light, and dry in the mouth. Flavor is hops and straw. Mildly bitter again on the finish, which is drier than the relatively wet mouthfeel. Refreshing and more interesting than I thought. Light for an ale, but it would be a serious lager.
