JoeinUccle (658), Brussels, Belgium Apr 17, 2007 Pale gold blonde with very little head and heavy pils leanings. Faint straw aroma with some malt. Nicely bitter, light, and dry in the mouth. Flavor is hops and straw. Mildly bitter again on the finish, which is drier than the relatively wet mouthfeel. Refreshing and more interesting than I thought. Light for an ale, but it would be a serious lager.
BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 28, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, yet complex, balanced, hazy, rocky head, good brew Lubiere (3182), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 16, 2008 A hazy blonde ale with a thick white head. Aroma of lemon, yeast and light rubber notes. In mouth, a very nice pleasant ale, with light bubble gum, notes of Curacao, herbal notes, medium bodied. The taste is much more pleasant than the nose lets predict. Bieropholie imports. Rune (1508), Tromsø, Norway Jun 6, 2008 330ml bottle shared with Skinnyviking at Pegasus in Copenhagen. Slightly, hazy brown in body colour topped by a white layer. Spicy aroma. Sweet citrus fruits in flavour followed by a yeasty ending and a touch of alcohol. Foamy palate. Rather bland, but still acceptable (28.05.2008). Skinnyviking (2593), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Creamy white lasting but low head. Hazy golden body. Spicy fruity alcohol aroma. Fruity and mild flavor without much hops bitterness. Not sweet though. Short aftertaste. Low carbonation. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany May 15, 2008 Bottle, 6.2%. Slow gusher. Fruity, yeasty, spicy aroma. Hazy yellow colour, sparkling with floaties. Big stable white head. High carbonation. The flavour is yeasty, slightly sweet. Some white bread notes. Also moldy and citric, not badly so, though. The alcohol is nice and present even though the ABV is not that high.
