May 24, 2005 A hazy amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is quite spicy with notes of coriander, yeast, muscat, and soap - is that what Joris calls aftershave? The flavor has a somewhat weird spicyness, though not unpleasant, it contains notes of muscat, yeast, brown sugar, and nutmeg - a bit on the spicy side for me. The end is dry, but it keeps prickling the tongue for a long while. It is a very lively beer, be very careful if You pour it in a Tulip glass - next time I’ll pour it in a Trappist glass. The livelyness also cost me a bottle - it simply blew the bottom of the bottle, while it was standing in my cupboard - I never had that happen before.

Mar 26, 2006 Bottled. Hazy amber, brief heas. Light phenolic aroma of pineappel and banana. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel and notes of burnt malt. A middle-of-the-road Belgian ale that is solid but fails to make a lasting impression.

Dec 22, 2006 (Botle 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Fruity nose - perhaps even overripe. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and then some not too pleasant malt notes. Dry finish. 191206
