sneagrams3 (1367), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Apr 5, 2007 750ml bottle. Clear yet livelyamber honey hue. Thick layer of spotty off-white head. Musty citrus barnyard aroma. Earthy and woody with a touch of citrus fruitiness.Rather carbonated and zesty. Smooth rounded malts, followed by a spicy peppery yeasty flaovr. Touch citrus and minerals. Finish is acidic with a tingling sensation on the sides of the tongue. Well carbonated. Surprisingly easy for the depth and complexity. Sharp transitions from the palate. But the different aspects all have a spot on the tongue. Good citrus zest as the beer warms. Very nice brew!
bhensonb (2832), Woodland, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 750 ml bottle from John’s Market in Portland, OR. Dark coppery amber color with a frothy off-white head. Interesting lightly spicy aroma with a little caramel and hop. Near medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is spicy, a bit citrus/coriander, dark caramel, and little hop. Finishes rather herby/woody. Almost dusty. Dry. Pleasant to drink. Not the common Belgian ale. BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 28, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not compplex, cloudy, good head, nice brew thebeertourist (1764), Oslo, Norway Jul 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy red amber with a lot of sediment and a rocky head that almost disappeared. Sweet nose. Tastes way too sweet and somewhat alcoholic. A big disappointment. Lubiere (3182), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 17, 2008 A clear ashy light brown ale with a thick off white head. A sweet yeasty aroma , with fusel alcohol, very aromatic, a bit doughy. In mouth, a lightly sweet doughy malt with light coriander, a bit buttery, thus the celtic angel name. Medium bodied. Bieropholie imports. mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2008 [1194-20080304] 330mL. Sweet dark woody hay aroma with yeasty green leaves.
