Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs, apricot), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of dried pineapple/mango, gum, alcohol, coriander. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Very watery and fairly fizzy too, not much of a mouthfeel to speak of here. Attractive fruity nose, but pretty run of the mill overall.

Pour is a hazy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is a very sweet fruit with some caramel and a touch of yeast. Flavor is heavily spiced with some nutmeg and lemon peel. Finish is a bit bitter and candi sugar. A bit different but nothing earth shaking as its kind of a one trick pony with all the spice. More of a spiced ale than anything.

33 cL bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours hazy amber with an average, frothy, off-white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, caramel), average hops (perfume, flowers), average yeast (horse blanket) with notes of alcohol, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

nice amber orange, clear, with a lasting head. mild on the holiday spices (good imho, other seasonals can be over bearing). Flavor is musty with barnyard hops and sweet but mild malt presence.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy dull gold with a moderate beige head that lasted through most of the glass. Light but pleasant aroma of yeast and grassy hops. A bit more flavorful than the aroma suggests with some yeast, citrus, and some sugar candy sweetness. A bit dry at the finish, but otherwise very easy to drink. The alcohol was fairly well hidden with only a slight warming at the finish.

Cloudy orange amber color, big head of small bubbles that hang on for a long while. Orange zest and lemon grass aroma. Rich, varied spices, ginger, nutmeg, fruit rind, bitter chocolate, honey ...yeasty, peppery, dry finish. I like the aroma more than the taste, but it’s big, a tad rough and interesting.

In the bottle at the 2007 Crescent Moon Holiday Beer Tasting. A hazy butterscotch color with a bountiful off white head. Spicy fruitcake aroma. Very rummy and sweet. This is a lot like fermented fruitcake. Has a very dry finish. Great hop report. The medium palate has some fizziness. Good, but not worth $13 a bottle.

(750ml bottle) Murky amber body topped by medium beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, Curacao, rose perfume, alcohol, some spice. Taste is moderately sweet, alcohol (boozy), orange, light fig. Medium-full body, light effervescence.

Bottle at A&K Holiday party: Cloudy coppery hue with a lasting frothy head. The aroma has notes of floral and grassy hops, apricot and candy apple, wheaty and biscuity malts, and a hint of ginger. The taste is spicy and fruity with a dry herbal finish. The profile is muddled and missing the zing I would have hoped would have been in this beer. The mouth feel is dry and lively for the just okay brew.

Bottle. Brew poured a light orange amber with a nice creamy off white head that stuck around. Nice lacing on the glass as well. Nose was a bit fruity and had some hints of honey and clove. Flavor was fruity and yeasty. Not my favorite Belgian, but a good one.
