fonefan (5547), Ulfborg, Denmark Nov 15, 2007 Bottle. Clear sparkling medium yellow color with a huge, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy yeasty, soap, fruity, light to moderate malty, toasted, some spices. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (291007) JorisPPattyn (4642), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 3, 2006 Golden beer with faint orange shine; good, bubbly snowwhite head, leaving lace. Coriander, garden herbs, some liqueur and again coriander. Ugh. Coriander flavour. Pale malts, pressing very hard. There’s really nothing, nothing else. Light bodied, light burning, the spices? Below par. This is a shame for Achilles. madsberg (4377), Bangalore, India Mar 10, 2006 Draught: Golden coloured. Clear. Dense off white head. Quite sweet and hoppy brew. Has some fruity and spicy notes, but is more or less a standard belgian with a bit more hoppy character than normal. Ends on a light bitterness. rauchbier (2877), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Jan 4, 2008 Tap, at ZBF 2006. Gold, thin white head and gentle condition. Gentle sweet malt notes and a hint of fruity hop in the nose, low sweet chalky malt in the mouth and a gentle brief maltiness in the finish.
