2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JorisPPattyn (6710) - Antwerpen, - JUL 3, 2006
Golden beer with faint orange shine; good, bubbly snowwhite head, leaving lace. Coriander, garden herbs, some liqueur and again coriander. Ugh. Coriander flavour. Pale malts, pressing very hard. There’s really nothing, nothing else. Light bodied, light burning, the spices? Below par. This is a shame for Achilles.

Bottle shared with jerc & mabel - Dec 22/08. Rich golden colour with a slight haze and a good sized white head. Aroma is yeasty and floral, but with something that seems a bit off. Flavour is quite sweet, with notes of honey, caramel and clover, but with a dry, yeasty and slightly funky finish. An odd little beer - didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it either.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 13, 2009
[1918-20081222] 330mL bottle. Roses and floral sweet honeyed yeast aroma. Hazy, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet funky wheat germ flavour has honey and floral flour. Medium body. Weird funkiness but somehow it works.

Similar flavour, dry and yeasty up front, sweet mild malt with strong yeasty accents in the flavour. Muted grainy notes and honey. (6+) Average plus palate. Decent, but underwhelming. Bottle from Délices et Caprices, Brussels

Interesting aroma with hints of yeast and fresh peas. Lively in the mouth. Flavour is fresh at first but becomes a bit musty as the beer warms up. Some sweetness retained in the aftertaste.
