3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DocLock (6800) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2008
Pours turbid dull tan with 3-fingers of off-white head. Nose is dark fruit, honey, hops, spicy yeast, and mild florals. Tastes fruity, withy yeasty spiciness, malt, some funk, apricot, citrus, and more honey flavor as it warms. It isn’t really fruity enough to be a great grand cru, and this one tastes very similar to the serafijn dubbel.

LIght in color and pretty in the glass. There is a lot of brut champagne on this beer. Plenty of delicate fruit on the nose, but terribly light scent. On the tongue, bright alcohol, slick palate and drying finish. Sour fruits and light caramel malt.
