Dit vond ik persoonlijk niet zo goed. Niet veel speciaals aan de smaak. Dan is de donkere beter

head: small away very fast
colour: amber /apple juice
smell: malts, coriander, hops, stingy soury and salty , mild oranges , and maple syrup
taste: honey and malts in the start , next comes in some rock candy and cane sugar, a bit of a smokey skunky taste , herbs and spices , alcohol , ends with a very dry bitter and yeasty taste ... kinda ok ...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a sparkling clear, orangey-amber color with a full, off-white, creamy-fluffy, mostly lasting head; a bit clear for a grand cru but nevertheless, appealing. Nose is faint and uninviting; dark candi sugar, dates, bready yeast, and some faint hints at dried apricot. Flavor is bolder than the nose led on; dark candi sugar, dried apricots, lightly toasted sweet bread yeasty notes, and a mild citric note. Faint hints at herbal hops near the finish bring a low bitterness, which is fine since the sweetness is not too high. Palate is medium, lightly chewy but watery, and lively. Finishes average length with sweet notes disappating leaving warmth, some yeasty notes and mild bitter notes. Fairly simple BSA with no malt depth to support the warmth and lacking the rich character to be considered a grand cru. Complexity was minimal, but still was a fairly drinkable beer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2007 Lightly hazy, deep orange pour. Thick white head is creamy and steadfast. The aroma is that of an overattenuated Belgian beer, a standard offering, a bleak perspective in an already tired style. Notes of crystallized sugars precede super-sweet malts and an overdose quantity of candi sugars. Heapings of citrus follow, mainly orange and tart tangerine. Alcohol is modest for the strength, annoying anyhow. Mild hints of cereal grains and marshmallow round out the too-tired and standard nose. The flavor is mildly corny, followed by waves of awful sugar and cereal. It’s like liquified Frosted Flakes cereal. It’s also like they didn’t even try. Give me a break. This is a waste of money. Sure, it’s drinkable, but why bother. I can access these flavors that are desirable in a hundred other Belgian golden ales without the unwanted extras. The mouthfeel is sugary, cloyingly sticky and barely drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ambrée légèrement voilée, effervescence moyenne, col beige moyen tombe assez vite. Principalement maltée, caramel léger, notes fruitées, un rien épicée, l’alcool se fait légèrement sentir. Un bon cru.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a brown hued orange. Nose is kind of syrup like and sweet. Flavor is not very eventful. Nice smooth and even tones. The funk is there. The sugar is very slightly there. It’s decent...but...lacking. This is a Grand Cru? Standard on the mouth, and even a bit thin. This was nice to drink, but certainly nothing unusual or at the least interesting.
