DocLock (4102), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 14, 2007 Bottle from Belgian X-mas sampler at Capone’s. Turbid orangy pour with 2-finger off-white head. Aroma is orange marmalade, big Bell pepper, citrus fruit, canteloupe, honey, hops. Tastes caramel malty, hoppy, with citrus, canteloupe, honey, and apricotty notes and some backup x-mas spicy notes.
harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 3, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Gold/amber with some floaters and big rocky head. Some spice, some syrup, some toffee. Quite an unsubtle syrupy spicy beer, with some jammy syrupy malt/alcohol. Just too syrupy really. Bit disappointing as I liked this brewery at ZBF 08. Not great.
