COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

Received this as a present for Christmas so had to have one while playing Wii on Christmas day! Thanks Gayle! Nice aroma with earthy notes and a hint of toffee that lasts for a long time. Finishes so well that I would rate this beer as very drinkable. Two thumbs up! Need to save some for CMB when he comes home in a few weeks

Bottle. Caramel malt with hint of hops. Amber color with small head. Sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter herbal hops flavor. Okay - nothing special.

Tap. Murky brown amber orange with a thin white head. Lots of caramel and astringent soapy tea-like hoppiness. Same for the flavor with more if a weird bitterness and toffee. Watery body with tight carbonation. Meh

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear copper with inch and an inch and a half off-white head. Some lacing, light carbonation, and medium body. Taste is lightly roasted malt and a hop finish.

Tap at Chadwick’s in Friendship Heights labeled as "Chadwick’s Ale." The pour is a clear tea amber with a thin, diminishing, beige head. No lace or retention. Nose is sweet cherry and heavy grenadine. Taste is sweeter, with lots of English malt, with a good dose of buttered popcorn/diacetyl and heavy biscuit. In the finish is sort of a stinging EKG bitterness. Diacetyl heaviness and faux body prove too much to quickly put down this beer and it ends up being more of a chore than a treat. Very dense and heavy palate. Almost zero hoppiness. Butter explosion.

This Delaware beer pours amber from tap with a thin white head and slight notes of caramel. Decent maltiness on the tongue but nothing to write home about. Finish is clean.
