COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Bottle @ BAJT on January 14. Pours slightly cloudy light golden with a fluffy white head that leaves lots of trace while dissipating. Smell is subtle with bread, some citrus and cotton candy. Taste is very sweet and slightly bitter with apricots, over-ripe peaches, orange, grass and some caramel. Finish is subtle sweet and slightly bitter.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of floral hops and ocean. Nice lookin cloudy copper color with persistent white head. Hop flavor is floral with a bit of grapefruit. Honey malt flavor gives good balance. Flavors are full but not overpowering. Lacing. Slight grainy feel. Good finish. I like this one.

This is a nice, milder IPA. Fruit and caramel malt in the nose, pineapple and raisin. Flavor is a bit of sweet malts and a piney or soapy (in a good way) bitterness. Refreshing in flavor but a bit on the sticky side to be really drinkable.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2012 Bottle - pours a cloudy dark orange with a better than average foamy white head. Has a hoppy citrus flavor to it. Medium body. Tasty!

Pours up a medium tan cloudy with a thickish head. Thought it looked like a belgian being pored, but it doesn’t so much now that it’s resting. The aroma is lighter than a traditional IPA, and no distinctive hoppy bitterness. Instead it’s sweet, like honey and alcohol. The flavor is sour, and I do not like the flavor. There’s another ingredient that I cannot identify, and I’m concerned that I will gag if I do. Dammit. Another failed beer.

Bottle thanks to my sister. Pours a light hazy golden orange with decent billowy white head. Aromas of citrusy US hops with grapefruit most dominant. Some sweet caramel in support. Flavours are quite sweet initally with plenty of light caramel. Bitter finish with plenty of resiny hops. Medium mouthfeel.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2011 Bottle. Smells of intense hops and a bit of citrus.. floral undertones. Taste is Hoppy with some bitter trailing notes. Pretty darn good for a straight IPA. Hits the tongue strongly with a hoppy butt-whippin.
