The bottle is a bit old and have been stored in a warm location. It doesn’t taste bad however! The bitterness dominates. Floral. Slightly metallic. stefanje (960), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2008 12 oz bottle from Trader Joes. Pours a translucent gold-copper color with a big foamy white head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is mostly musty citrus with a touch of cardboard. The flavor is hops forward with biter walnuts and toffee, and the citrus is lost somewhere way in the back. The mouthfeel is full and malty. The finish is long and biter with a bit of biscuit. Overall: This beer is seems out of balance, there is no Zen harmony here. jstraw (778), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Poured from bottle, clear goldish amber in color. Nice sized thick head that left considerable lacing on my glass. Not much nose to speak of. Good almost dry taste with a hint of smoke. Overall a decent IPA. Merrill (77), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Dark yellow with a good thick near white head. Little aroma. Perhaps I got an old bottle. Almost entirely hop bitterness with just a tiny bit of sweet malt way back. I like hops, so this one I’ll have to give another try when it might be fresh. This is just too much bitter without anything to back it up, making the finish very rough indeed! firstdraft (7), USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2008 This a really good solid IPA. Not as Hoppy as some IPA that I like but still nicely flavored with hops. Thicker than most IPA, little bit cloudy, nice fluffy head not a lot of lacing though. Has a nice dry/citrus flavor I associate with a Cali IPA. The aroma was very mild. Really very good standard IPA. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2008 Very very dry. Very floral and hoppy. Also spicy and thick, with the malt flavors hinting of caramel. Pretty good IPA in my book, not sure why it’s not rated higher. JFURYCAT (795), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
