COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Bottle Pourr a slightly hazy orange amber with a decent white head. Letting this settle down leaves thin clingy lacing. Aroma is malty and not as much hops as I was expecting from the style. Flavor redeems itself though. Rich maltiness and I think a nicely balanced hop bite. Feels quite smooth and rich. fairly heavy and yes the ABV is up there a tad. It al works and I find this to be quite good.

A good IPA. Extremely cloudy amber with white head. Nose of hops and citrus. Taste of hops, malt, citrus, and pine. Label had a pinup girl.

Hoppy aroma, some evergreens and lemons. Appearance in cloudy (shill haze?). Nice golden color w/ tiny bubble visible like champagne. 2 finger head with good retention. Initial taste is hops and bitter then the oranges and slight malt then bitter all the way to the long long finish. Straightforward IPA, not too complex but enjoyable nonetheless. A few more IPA like this one and Anderson Valley and I may start to consider myself a fan of the style. my label looked nothing like the one in this picture. It had a 50’s style pin-uo girl on it.

Drink it fresh as you can get it. Needs more malt to balance the hops, so comes across as a bit thin, and somewhat unbalanced. Still a good West Coast IPA, maybe not as hoppy as some. Nice T-Shirt, though.

good foamy head on this one. Light amber color, not quite what an IPA should be. A mixed sweet and hoppy smell. Finishes dry and bitter as an IPA should. Good overall hops taste that is citrus and a little smokey.

This IPA pours with an orangish-gold body topped by a medium thick, sustaining head wtih a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet with weak hop notes and some orange/tangerine notes. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter with notes of orange zest adn a touch of pine. Medium bodied and smooth.

Cloudy, pale amber appearance with a small head. Resinous hop aroma with an earthiness that developes a little late. Good hop character in the taste with a citrus fruit flavor. Well carbonated with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Dry, long lasting finish.

Golden color, solid white head. Light malty aroma. Taste is lightly hoppy, but an off bitter with metallic hints. Unbalanced. Drinkable but not that good.

Hazy drawn butter yellow under a fairly thick off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma was pretty faint but there was some fruity sweetness there. The flavor reminded me of mineral water with hops. I got the impression that this was beer that didn’t exactly know what it wanted to be. Was it a west coast pale ale or an IPA?? That question was never answered consistently and either way, it wouldn’t have been a good representation of either style. Finish was dry and slightly bitter. Overall, I wasn’t happy with this IPA but I’ve had worse.
