COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Medium yellow/gold with a 1 finger head. Light aroma doesn't give away the hops too much. Balanced on the hops side, sweet malt is there but there seems to be a piney hop that sticks out, although I am not having a problem with it. Overall a decent IPA I would have again.

Nice light orange color with a small white head. The aroma was sour at first, then pure grapefruit. The flavor was not very interesting except for the finish which is probably the sharpest, most bitter taste I've ever experienced. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually added grapefruit juice to this beer!

this wasn't bad, but not up there on the top if the class-tastes alot like other california ipa's such as anderson valley.

Pours with a thin head. Not too much carbonation. Hazy golden color. Really hoppy and bitter. Citrus in the finish.

Pale orange, medium head. Delicate carbonation. There is an overwhelming sweet, metaly aroma that bothers me. Definite hay especially in the taste; quite bitter. Tastes like a damn horse barn.

Not much of an aroma - but the flavor is quite bold - with just the right amount of hoppiness and grapefruit hints. Decent size head with a little bit of lace - nice light orange color. All in all a good IPA - which is fast becoming one of my favorite styles.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2005 hoppy aroma but not that grassy/floral type that I love so much in an IPA, Huge head on a nice golden color..I do not really like the hops used in this beer, Not like my favorite IPA’s, hoppy flavor is a bit grapefruity & bitter and lacking that Pizazzzzzzzz I do so enjoy..Not a bad beer, but not a great example of the style

Very hoppy aroma, taste and feel. Hop flavor masks the high alcohol content very well.

Really nice mouth feel, great hop nose. A good California IPA.

Aroma of citric hops, fruit and a certain spice whose name escapes me. Friendly, sweet fruity malt enlivened by citric hop flavors and a long tingly hop finish. An easy-going IPA.
