COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.
2012 vintage: 6.9% abv

A fair IPA, but rough around the edges. Not balanced in the malt dept, for sure.

fraternie (824) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2002
An overwhelmingly hoppy IPA, but it lacks balance as the finish comes through a little strong due to a lack of any strong malt flavor. Great for hopheads though, as the hops are there in a big way.

A lighter IPA. Nice amber brown color, fruity-hoppy nose, pleasant sweet taste. A notch below Red Hook IPA.

Striking clarity, wonderfully enticing nose that oozes with grapefruit. A subtle malt undertone struggles to keep pace with this hop fest. Bitterness and citrus of hops are prevalent from start to finish. Very good afternoon refresher.

a refreshing beer for once in a while. Not a great IPA at all. light in hoppy and malty flavor, a bit of a floral aroma. so-so

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Decent hops, though not very complex. OK finish - nothing to write home about.

Fruity hoppy aroma. Very fruity bittersweet taste with slight alcohol twang. Tasty beer.

Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAY 15, 2001
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2003 The beer pours a cloudless somewhat deep golden amber color, the head unboastful, the texture creamy, the lace that remains is a fine sheet to conceal the glass. A perfect light floral tone appears first, followed by sweet malt and fresh aroma, quite a nose pleaser. The start is malt, sweet on the sides of the tongue; top is retiring in its mouth feel. Hops are spicy and lightly biting with the acidity temperate, aftertaste long lasting and hop bitter. A nice representative IPA, a gentler IPA, midway between the English and California IPA’s, like Stone and Alesmith.
