2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle into a Samuel Smith pint glass.
A: Pours a murky orange-amber color. The head is a two finger offwhite shade with a nicely consistent texture, even after much of it has receded. Lacing is patchy.
S: Quite floral. There is a lot of pine, lavender, biscuit, and mild caramel. Not much citrus quality, sadly.
T/M: Tastes like...well, an IPA. This one in particular starts off malty with notes of biscuit and toffee, while a light citrus quality pops up past the midtaste. It actually tastes a bit yeasty, and certainly feels that way. The heavy feel, chalky finish, and moderate astringency all take away from an otherwise balanced but bland IPA. I’d reckon its best feature is the building dryness on the aftertaste.
O: I love the simple but retro labeling - shame the beer itself feels about 10 years behind the 8 ball. It’s too heavy-feeling to session and too mild for serious IPA drinkers. Others out there will like it, though.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Very hoppy nose, with definite caramel backing and some fruitiness. Orange straw color. Caramel, small bites of resiny hops, and earthy maltiness, and grapefruit rind. Medium body. Moderate flavors. Nice, mid-strength IPA.

Not great. Drinkable. The aroma is sort of citrusy and herbal with some basement aromas? Taste is grapefruit like with some definite minty qualities. Finish is nothing new... I like the vintage looking art.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark gold color with a slightly off-white head about 1/2" thick, leaving some nice lacing. Pleasant aroma of pine hops - not too strong but they’re there, almost like a dry hop. Medium body, the balance leans to the hops but there is some malt in the background. Finish is dry. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Trevlig

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden pour with thin, clingy white head - looks great. Nose is floral and earthy, not to my liking. Flavor is some malt and not much bitterness for an IPA with same earthyness. Best part is the appearance, no need to drink.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
3oz sample at Expo Cerveza Mexico 2014. A clear golden beer with a white foamy head. It has a floral aroma with grapefruit, citrics and orange zest. Taste is bitter with a strong finish. Some carbonation and a considerable amount of astringency. Aftertaste reminds me of peppermint.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Earthy hops and some pale malts with a bit of cardboard. Clear gold with a rich white head. Sweet pale malts and earthy hops with a bitter finish. Much like an English style IPA.
