COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

12 oz bottle into a Samuel Smith pint glass. A: Pours a murky orange-amber color. The head is a two finger offwhite shade with a nicely consistent texture, even after much of it has receded. Lacing is patchy. S: Quite floral. There is a lot of pine, lavender, biscuit, and mild caramel. Not much citrus quality, sadly. T/M: Tastes like...well, an IPA. This one in particular starts off malty with notes of biscuit and toffee, while a light citrus quality pops up past the midtaste. It actually tastes a bit yeasty, and certainly feels that way. The heavy feel, chalky finish, and moderate astringency all take away from an otherwise balanced but bland IPA. Iíd reckon its best feature is the building dryness on the aftertaste. O: I love the simple but retro labeling - shame the beer itself feels about 10 years behind the 8 ball. Itís too heavy-feeling to session and too mild for serious IPA drinkers. Others out there will like it, though.

Bottle from CBB. Clear gold, small white head. Fruity citrus hop aroma, though quite weak. Flavour has pine and grass hops to go with the citrus. Very light for the strength.

Draft pour at Taphouse IPA week. Pours an orange color with an absent aroma. Flavor is initially grainy, then turns to a long, drawn out bitter finish. This IPA comes off as plain to me. Itís not bad, but it doesnít stand out. Average beer here.

Pours with a golden cloudy appearance with a small white diminishing head, aromas of citrus, very nice flavours of passion fruit and maybe lime? I have had better IPAís but was very enjoyable

355ml bottle @ Annieís Burger Shack, Nottingham drunk with a Deathray chili burger. Rated from the initial few gulps before the burger as I couldnít taste much afterwards. Pours golden amber with white head. Smooth, fruity IPA.. not a massive amount of hops coming through, very easy-drinking. Decent.

Drinkability alta.

Bottle. A slightly cloudy pale amber with not much head. Nose is fruity, ripe, buttery-caramel, not much bitterness. Palate is rounded and balanced, with yellow/tropical fruit, a touch of nuttiness, well rounded bitter notes in the finish. I loved this beer but I think itís an atypical Californian IPA, because itís lighter and less intense.

355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber, thick white head. Big resinous hop aromas, pine and light citrus, light caramel. Taste is bitter, more resin, light pith. Oily texture, bitter finish. Good.

12oz bottle shared with mr_h. Amber brown, good head. Grain hop aroma. Creamy resin flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Nt really an IPA. Not sure what it is.
