COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Aroma - Very malty, lots of caramel and bread in the nose. Not as hoppy as the california moniker would suggest. Appearance - clear and golden in color with moderate amount of head. Taste - The malt/hop balance is skewed toward the malt with enough bitterness to keep it from being too sweet. Palate - medium bodied with appropriate levels of carbonation. Overall - A solid IPA. Would recommend to those who enjoy hoppy beers but not necessarily a hop bomb.

A - Crystal clear amber, with a rocky off-white head. S - Woody pine, mineral-like citrus. T - Bitter pine off the top, coats the tongue, bready pale malt, dried grapefruit pith, finish smooth and dry. M - Medium smooth body, dry and crisp on the finish. Good clean malt with a clean bitterness. Nose is a little weak all around, almost muted. Bitter, dry and simple. Serving type: bottle 08-12-2011

Very light IPA. Pours a light orange. I was expecting more citrus in this style but still refreshing. Lacing covers the glass on the way down. Piney but faint/watered down.

Draught at Houghs Pgh. Poured amber orange with light white head. Aroma of sweet pine. Smooth taste of pine. Ok at best.

Coppery-tan with a great, lasting head that left a nice cap of light tan foam and sticky lace. Aroma is some mild floral hops, a smidge of maltiness, a touch of fruits, a bit lacking on aroma but not bad. Taste is more lightly floral hops with a fairly pronounced bitterness, like it had a big early bittering charge of something strong like magnum or warrior, and a lighter late addition of flavor and aroma hops. Body is slightly watery with a lingering bitterness. Overall I’d say it’s a bit out of balance, needing more late hops additions, but it’s not bad.

Pours a light amber with a tight white head and some lively sparkle. Aromas of lemon, spice, cream and a little pine on the nose. The taste starts off with citrus and apple, before robust hop bitterness comes through in the back palate. Finishes quite clean, with a light grassy aftertaste. A bit unbalanced, but pretty tasty nonetheless.

Bottle from Plonk. Orange/amber, piney hops and caramel malt, very drinkable, not overly bitter, good balance. Quite nice.

Subtle hop aroma: some faint pine aroma. Malt taste dominates at first but finishes with a subtle fruity hop profile. Finishes a little sweet for an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ja, här blev jag förvånad. Syrlig, med svag beska. Något syntetiskt med smaken. Kommer inte köpa igen.

Decent enough of a IPA. Light floral aroma with a thin head and no lacing. I poured it out of a bottle. The taste was mild with notes of citrus, floral, and malt.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks to weihenweizen. Pours a hazy copper with a bubbly white head of foam. Aroma is sweet and somewhat piny. Very slight malt backbone. Sweet and piny again in the taste. Medium mouthfeel.
