Diego (79), San Diego, California, USA Jun 14, 2002 I am (once again) sipping as I’m writing. I think I possibly just discovered my favorite beer. I love the strong hoppiness and the rich body. Great bite and nice aroma and...I love the label. Very 1920’s. This IPA is the best beer I’ve tasted in a very long time. Run out and get it if you can. I found my bottle at Trader Joes. DeadGuyFrank (340), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Sep 24, 2007 Delicious fruity and hoppy - similiar to Smuttynose IPA Despite being so damn hoppy it is very drinkable. Cheers to the North Coast Brewery! jeremyd365 (81), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Jul 12, 2008 Poors a medium-high bodied copper with a decent head on it. The hops waft up from this baby high avove the glass--mmm! It’s slightly bitter and citrusy on the palate and just taste mostly of pure hops, perhaps with some caramel. The hops are pleasingly bitter on the back of the throat and it’s full flavor hits you. Although heavy it’s still a very drinkible beer, and a superb IPA. Would definitely get it again. (not sure why this one has so many low-ish ratings--I didn’t find this brew weak in neither scent nor flavor!) Jon123 (36), Emmaus, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 21, 2003 Good IPA. Pours out of the bottle with a perfect head and nice carmel color. As expected, hops are in abundance but this is what I prefer in a beer. One of my favorite IPA's! beer4president (17), Bellingham, Washington, USA May 2, 2004 Maybe its just me, but after driving for 2 hours on the coast highway last summer the North Coast Brewery was a site for soar eyes. I love IPA’s so i had a couple pints and it was well worth the drive.
