Commercial Description:
Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Bright orangy color, slightly cloudy. Light-moderate hops. Citrusy, slightly bitter. Pretty standard IPA here. When session-drinking, drink this one first because other IPA’s with hoppier flavors will make this one taste watery, but it’s pretty good at the front end. One thing that was distinctive about it was that it had a very fluffy thick off-white head.

tap at papago... pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a creamy whitish head and lots of soapy lacing. floral grassy hops aroma is full of oranges, apricots and grain. the flavor is a little weak... dry and grainy, light citrus pith, grass, very faint pine, earthy spicy hops and a dry mildly parching finish. medium body is fairly smooth and pairs quite well with just about anything you are eating...

From the bottle. This was a weak IPA. Not that good as compared to other IPA’s in its class. Poured a darker yellow color. It had a head that was almost not there. Easy to drink and not that good.

Pours a clear medium gold with a touch of orange and amber, has a white head that diminishes to a ring and thin cover, starts with good effervescence and tapers off, looks pretty in the glass, aroma of malt sweetness, orange and peach fruitiness, herb/grassy and floral hops, flavor of pine needles and citrus with a touch of malt sweetness and toasted malt, this IPA is brewed to the hop side of things, starts with a little malt flavor and sweetness but goes hoppy quick and stays that way until the finish, hop bitterness lingers for a bit, has a medium mouth feel and hops make this dry on the palate, a touch of bubbly creaminess on the tongue, a hoppy IPA with a small amount of malt flavor

(Bottle from Tully’s) Pours a quite hazy light apricot-amber. Quite light-looking for an IPA. Three fingers of rocky biege head. Aroma of sweet and sticky caramel and vanilla along with piney hops. A slight bit of a weird, sourish off-note in there as well that detracts a bit. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth with a decent amount of heft. Lots of fairly heavy, foamy, broken lacing. Tastes big and hoppy with a good malt presence as well. Slightly biting pine/grapefruit with caramel and vanilla sweetness underneath. Mild fruitiness. Good bitter pinch in finish and bitterness coats the tongue afterwards. The sour dishrag from the aroma is barely noticeable. The 6.5% is well -covered. A pretty decent hop-bomb regular IPA. Ratings seem strangely low.

Bottle. Pours a nearly-crystal clear medium gold color with a full off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Hoppy aroma with citrus and pine as well. Regardless of the commercial description, I was not bowled over with the hops. It’s a bit wimpy for an IPA in my opinion (I like an in-your-face IPA that brings on a a bit of a scowl), but it’s still a decent brew. This beer would do well paired with a tricked-out turkey burger and spinach salad on a warm summer day.
