COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Bottle into shaker. Decent pillowy head, clear amber, swirling carbonation. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor of light honey with metallic aftertaste. Thin, sweet finish. Not a bad experience, Overall just OK.

Bottle: light copper gold. Clear and poor head. Almost stale. Wet malt or wheat husk, dank yeast leas. Malt dominated. Sweet, not sour and moderate to low bitterness. Low carbonation but citrus flavors. Almost commercial. Not challenging.

EtTuCthulhu (897) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - NOV 4, 2013
The color of this beer is a slightly hazy golden with a medium white head, and the aroma blends a slight skunkiness, sweet bread malts, and floral hops. The taste is a touch bitter, touch sweet, and slightly sour, and the palate combines a medium body, average carbonation, abrupt finish, and a slick texture. Not that bold or crazy, but this brew is quite drinkable.

Bottle at Serpico. Pours a hazy gold with medium, deminishing, off-white head and some soapy lace. Nose of caramel, some faint citrus and pine. Sweet, mostly caramel malt. Medium body. Not a hoppy apa at all, very mild bitterness.

Draft at Toad in the Hole. Pale amber with a slight haze and low diminishing foam. Cushy aromas of warm grains and fruitcake. Taste of apple and caramel precedes a lively minerality. Finish leaves a slight coagulant feel common to session beers fermented with a particular American Ale yeast that’s ridiculously popular.

White head on amber yellow body. Aroma is sweet citrus. Flavour tends to the malt side with a speedy lightly bitter finish. Acme, the choice of coyotes everywhere.

Poured no head on a clear amber colored body. The aroma is wet grain with some fruitiness. The taste is lemon bitterness with some pear sweetness. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Nothing special but good enough for a couple rounds.

A perfectly serviceable pale ale. Not the best, but I would drink this again, no problem. Typical malty/bready flavor with spicy hop finish.

Pours copper with a white head. Hops aroma with bitter/sweet notes. The taste follows the aroma and is bitter/sweet. It is medium in body with a sticky, bitter finish. It’s a decent IPA, but it’s nothing special

Bottle - Amazed at the low ratings on this one--North Coast has always been good to me. When I crack it, I know why. This one is golden and slightly hazy, with a thin foamy white head. Nose is light and fruity, with pear and tropical fruit syrup. Not much hopping to speak of. Taste has an odd savory aspect to it that transitions into dry, mineral and pale malt. A touch of herbal hops, honey, and more pear on the finish. Thin and overcarbonated.
