2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Prufrockstar (200) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 2, 2012
12 oz bottle to shaker.
Appearance: Light gold, decent white head, clear.
Aroma: Faint. Some citrus. Otherwise leaves almost no impression on me – I don’t have a cold, do I?
Flavor: So faint it’s really hard for me to tell. I get some grain and a mildly hop-bitter finish.
Palate: Light/thin body, medium carbonation. Dry finish.
Overall: I’m having a hard time with this. On the one hand I think this beer achieves what it purports to (it is indeed smooth, clean, and sessionable as the commercial description claims), and I could see times where this would be exactly the right beer for the moment. On the other hand those are moments when I don’t particularly want to think about, taste, savor, or enjoy the beverage – those times where I want to go to a pub with friends and order a few pints of something that is cool, drinkable, utterly unobtrusive and forgettable, when I would be just as happy ordering water if water contained alcohol. And it’s hard to give an overall impression of a beer that seems best suited to make no impression at all.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ughsmash (6670) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottled. Poured lighter golden with fine sediment and a well-retained eggshell head. The aroma picked up pale malts and a touch of cardboard with faint lemon and herbal accents. The flavor found old pale malts and cardboard at the core, with oxidation and broken-down hops around.. I bought it today, but it seemed old.. finished with some unpleasant sharpness and graininess. Lighter-bodied and grainy as mentioned on the palate.. left a nasty impression in the end.. blech.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 barakihunter (186) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 13, 2012
Nice aroma, touches of honey, citrus, melon, and sweet pumpkin - much like a pumpkin pie - but very subtle. Appearance is a nice deep golden colour with not much head. Taste is nice, canteloupe, honey, citrus, sweet pumpkin and a touch of pine. Palate is a kind bitterness. Nice pale!

12oz bottle. Mildly hazy yellow orange color. Decent thin white head. Sort of metallic malts, light honey, some orange. light bitter, sort of savory taste, some sweet in the finish. Smooth, lighter carbonation, more dry texture, medium body. Alright. But not much going on here.

A nice APA but a little on the cloyingly sweet side. Low carbonation but grippiness at the end.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Onionkid (301) - Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Bottle. Lemon and hops in the aroma. Taste is very citric, with a hint of caramel and fairly watery overall. The finish isn’t as nice as I’d like...the usual bitter bite is replaced with a funky, artificial flavoring tartness that really doesn’t work. Not awful, not good, just meh. 5% alcohol.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jmohno (831) - Iowa, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Cloudy medium gold, short head some froth.Leaves some spitty residue.
Aroma is a light airy clean citrusy lemon. Some herbal almost skunk.
Taste is medium bodied, with some citrus, light carmel, tartness almost distracting.Tart citrus finish. Not really that great of a pale ale.Diety tart kind of harsh finish.

where is this woman swinging? is she swinging? just be careful, your holding a beverage. pour: classic pale ale. nose: sweet pale malt, carbonation bitternessss mouth: like hops in your pale? wont find here, however nice malt character, lightly hopped, not much bitterness with a slight hop resin taste. mouth medium/light giving way quickly. overall, nice, easily quaffed, for those who like hoppy pales dont expect that here, this brew lets the malt shine foward, with a nice pin up girl. falling on a dangerous swing.
