ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Attractive pale amber. Decent head with intricate lacing. Malty nose with hints of citrus and toffee. Light bodied and smooth. Mildly fruity with a slightly bitter finish.

Pale golden hue. Head diminishes almost immediately. Grainy nose. Very light bodied, light citrus flavors, sweet and flowery, finishes metallic and weakly bitter. Im not terribly impressed by this brew at all.

Pale gold. OK head. Not very hoppy (I'd call it under-hopped) with a distinct apricot flavor.

Speaking from memory because I can't find this beer in Georgia. This is a .very mild pale ale with a nice clean crisp taste and clean finish. Not over hopped like many American Pale Ales. Great session beer..

Light brownish gold color, decent head. Smells sweet, agree with the apple tinge. Flavor is sweet with little character, body is thin and watery. An unremarkable APA.

What in the hell is up with honey in beers these days??? Bees....Bees make honey....and man makes beer...leave the damn bees be and make the damn beer good!!!!! Aroma is of grapefruit with a wheaty/honey smell which just dominates whatever else is going on here. It poures a slightly cloudy yellow, ever ever so slight golden, wheat like appearance, with a very thin lacing of a head sitting on top, more foamy than anything. The carbonation appears in check until the tasting where it begins to get out of control. Very little of the hops can be picked up as the honey, and citric fruits predominate. Then the aftertaste hits and all goes to hell in a handbag. I just had a EuerkOOOOO Honey Wheat and sure enough im tasting a very very VERY slight floral honeyness in the aftertaste. Not very pleasant. Watery texture with a honey, robitussin medicine mix. I cant quite figure it out, but id rather spend my time thinking about the girl next door.

Boring! Way too tart and not even hoppy enough for my tastes. A very light pale, slight bitter apple hues throughout, with a less than satisfying finish.

Light golden color with a nice white head. Floral aroma. The flavor was a bit weak, with an unimpressive finish. Sweet apple character to the flavor. Average APA.

What a very nice floral, citric hoppy (though not at all bitter) pub Bitter. The palate was full (not unlike Left Hand Pale), the taste clean. Bright and lively when drunk fresh.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2007 Rerate Solid, session worthy APA, just the right amount of bitterness and sweetness. Nice orange, amber hue, decent head and sprucey aroma. Clean mouthfeel Original 4.1 Excellent - North Coast impresses me again. Clean, fruity aroma. Tart, but not overly hoppy flavor and a thick long lasting head. Finishes strong - looking forward to the IPA next.
