Very smooth and refreshing pale ale. Nice hoppy finish, but not so overwhelming that those who are not fans of uber-hopped pale ales won’t still enjoy. Has a nice honey lemon zest to the palate with a mellow finish.
Exremely drinkable and friendly.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ronaldtheriot (811) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Acme California Pale Ale has a medium, off-white head and a cloudy, orange-golden appearance. Lacing is decent. Aroma is of citrus, wood, and a sharp sweetness. The taste is a nice balance of barley malt, hop spice, and earth. Mouth-feel is surprisingly light and watery. Acme Pale Ale finishes refreshing. This is a very enjoyable beer. Another winner from North Coast Brewing.

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 orourke (17) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 11, 2011
Poured from a bottle into a globe glass. I’m sure a lot of people on here won’t like this beer - in their opinion it’s too normal, too few IBUs, too easy to drink, too little ABV for most beer nerds’ "extreme" taste. However, I like this beer. I will admit it’s pretty unremarkable, but when you want the craft beer equivalent of a "light" beer this is a perfect example. Easy to drink, tastes good, has flavor but doesn’t overwhelm you.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 derekbrown (104) - Greenville, North Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2009
Despite other ratings, I absolutely love this beer. Not a great example of a pale ale, by any means, but still a great beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 maxhits (172) - Pico Rivera, California, USA - MAR 29, 2002
Pours with a deep honey color and produces a short-lived thick and creamy white head. I liked it; makes for a fine session beer, alhtough a little strong at 7.1% alcohol by volume IPA from the North Coast Brewing Company of Fort Bragg, Mendocino County
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 GreatStelle (363) - Chico, California, USA - JUN 25, 2003
As a sierra nevada fan I judge tough on other pale ales. This one though meets if not exceeds the standard.

From a twelve ounce bottle purchased for "Paddlefest" - This one pourd a golden, effervescent liquid with a tall white hwad and hoppy aroma. A fine IPA.

Bottle, 5/26/08. Pours a beautiful light brown color, taste is crisp and light, finishes very clean. I know ratebeer users can’t handle session beers, but this is a great one, which is especially hard due to the lack of overpowering bitterness to hide any flaws or imperfections. Great beer from an awesome brewery.

short 12oz bottle. Pours a perfectly pale golden color, with a white froathy head. Aroma is of pale malts, spruce. Flavor is rich, crreamy, caramel malt. Finishes with a nice hop bitterness. Lingering bitterness. Top beer for this top style.

330ml bottle.Full fluffy light beige head and a vibrant flaowing body of amber gold. Caramel, butterscotch and biscuity malt aromas are full and set you up for what is to follow. Full flavoured with good body and mouthfeel. Another winner from North Coast.
