COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Pours deep gold with light white head. Has the aroma of a little citrus and a bit of caramel. Has pretty good body and is malt forward for an american pale. Caramel and orange notes are present. Grassy and citrus hop character. I enjoyed the pleasant and soft bitter finish. Overall a decent affordable session pale ale with decent balance.

BOTTLE. Hazy orange pour with little head. Sweet caramel & honey on the nose. Toffee & caramel at front end with orange & malt at the back end, watery for a pale ale. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

355 ml bottle. Dark golden with big white head. Aroma caramel, toffee, malt and mild earthy hop notes. Taste is similar, light and fresh, caramel and malt. A bit too sweet for me

Idiosynkrasie (4099) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 23, 2014
355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, white head. Biscuity, malty aroma with cautious honey touch, vegy, yeasty overtones, some orange zest. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, hints of orange and mandarine, light body, slightly watery. Loveless, anaemic, refutes any positive prejudice about California (concerning beer, of course, not e.g. the weather).

From bottle. Pours a honey-color, a bit hazy with a pretty good-sized head that dissipates and leaves just a bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty and faintly citrus. Taste is also malty, citrus, slight bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Light bitter finish.

Pure malt garbage. No hoppy flavor and is just a terrible tasting beer. Pours light orange in color. Smells malty. Had at Carolina ale house on Charlotte. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is light citrus, tangerines and a hint of fresh leaves. The taste is classic American Pale Ale, but maybe a bit on the lower side of everything? A little biscuity, slightly toasted malts with mild pine and vague lemon peels. A pretty dry aftertaste. It’s refreshing, but not the coolest one around.

Bottle. StarmoreBoss, Sheffield. Clear gold. Thick, lasting, white head. Pale, lager malt aroma. A little fruit salad. Taste is light sweet. Hint of bitter. Clean, fresh palate. Finishes a little dry. Sweet close. Not the tastiest beer, but quite refreshing, and easy drinking.

"a tiny bit better than others in the acme line, but still a slightly below average pale ale. not enough balance in the beer, the hops are ok, but they have no other presence to play off of."
