Black with beige bubbles. Aromas are earthy roast malts with chocolate malts and berries. Flavours are sweet and fruit roast malts with an earthy, dry character. Smooth chocolate is evident, too. Nice sparkle. A moreish stout.

Very dark beer with a slight red tinge. The aroma is dry and malty and the flavour is very dry with a long bitter finish. Overall a good, good beer.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Alexandra Arms Kettering A very dark beer with a ruby hint. There is a good malty aroma and a nice fruity roasty taste. Hints of blackberry come through. Not over roasty just well balanced.
