Cask at CBC, London. Pours clear russet with a modest, white foam head. Quite a lovely aroma of lightly toasted malts, caramel and leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor, veery nive toasted caramel, toasty bread, mild leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Beautiful carbonation. Sweet, lightly bitter finish, more toasted caramel and modest bread, subtle fruits, toast. This is one of the best, most well balanced bitters I’ve ever had.

Cask (GBBF 2006): Nutty, moreish flavour with some nice fruit notes. Very refreshing. Balanced with earthy hops. Quite morish, and best bitter in a while!

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2007 Cask at GBBF, August 2006. Day 2, beer #12. Copper colour. Full, dry aroma with touches of fruity malt. On the palate its dry, distinctly bitter and surprisingly mouth-filling, whilst remaining eminently quaffable. Good balance of chewy malt and spicy hops. Lots of presence and taste for a low ABV bitter. Pretty much all you could want from the genre.

Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham during their "Wheat Weekend". I think I drank the same beer that everyone else has had, except mine sounds a little darker. Fragrance of floral hops. Light yet insistent flavour: some grapefruit, hops and faint caramel. Creamy yet refreshing. Crisp hops. Tasty - full flavour yet easy drinking. Very good, probably joint best of the evening, and just as the barmaid called ’time’.

Lightly roasty character to the dry, nutty aroma. Clear burnished copper coloured body with dense, pillowy, off-white, fine-bubbled head that lasts well and coats the glass. Nutty, roasty malt flavour with moderate bitterness. Medium body with fair carbonation. Cask at GBBF 2005.
