Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest 07. Brown amber with slight white head. Darker roasted bitter than most with a fullish body, some nut character with quite a husky character, not enough on the finish for me but still decent enough. Can’t believe I haven’t rated this before.

Oct 24, 2008 <b>Cask @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.</b><br />Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee notes, slat crackers. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (080808)

Sep 21, 2008 Cask@Burton Summer Beer Festival, 2008. Brown beer with a toffee and hopped aroma, and a dry, toffee and hopped flavour. Overall a nice dry, hopped and toffee beer.

Aug 21, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is mild coffee, roast and some wood. Flavour is wood, sour coffee with some mild hints of wood. Nice fruity and wooden bitterness in aftertaste.
