Lightly roasty character to the dry, nutty aroma. Clear burnished copper coloured body with dense, pillowy, off-white, fine-bubbled head that lasts well and coats the glass. Nutty, roasty malt flavour with moderate bitterness. Medium body with fair carbonation. Cask at GBBF 2005.

Aug 21, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is mild coffee, roast and some wood. Flavour is wood, sour coffee with some mild hints of wood. Nice fruity and wooden bitterness in aftertaste.

Aug 10, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Hazy amber with an offwhite froth. Quite complex nose: fruit, toffee and chocolate. Good fruity bitterness. A bitter way above the average.

Aug 8, 2008 Cloudy dark amber with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and fruits. Sweet floral with roasted malt, caramel and hints of chocolate. Ends sweet.

May 27, 2008 Cask @ market Porter (Apr ’08). Clearn brown colour with thin head. Aroma is fruity, roast malt. Taste is fruity, hops late on, sticky, roasted. Bitter finish, as in aftertaste. Decent beer.
