On tap at the Alexandra Hotel
I tried this on a whim because my main goal - another pint of Oakham Green Devil - was not available. It’s a fine golden ale that has enough flavor to drink all day without being abusive to the palate. I’ll have to add Acorn to the list of breweries to pay attention to at the local pubs.

Aroma / Appearance - The golden base held slight wisps of head like parts of a doily. Lemon crisp, granola, and citrus sweeten the deal by inviting further reflection. This bright and tropical beer is well balanced all around.

Flavor / Palate - Lemon crisp and granola merge into a fruity texture that refreshes a parched palate. Pineapples and mango transition to the bitter finish. Not too heavy at all it hangs like a setting sun in the back of the throat. If there’s a flaw it does turn a bit saccharine over time. Otherwise though this is an excellent session beer.
