Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, day 2, on 1 May 2009. Orange colour. Quite strong chalky hop character. A touch of fruit. Firm mouthfeel. New hop variety for me. Not necessarily the most assertive. Clean, fresh and easy-drinking.

Gravicask at Macclesfield BF. Do not be tempted to go, it’s rubbish. I’m tempted to go just to punch the staff. Nearly all the beer has been ruined. Amber gold with no head. Citrus, medium bitter finish. Kept in awful condition by complete cockweasels.

Half, cask at The Continental in Preston. Copper-amber. Thin head, but great laceworks. Fresh aroma of fruity hops. Dry hopped flavour with grapefruit and earthy sweet malt. Bitter finish. A little watered on the swallow (03.05.2009).

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Copper, thing white head. Slightly toffeeish, not huge hop, but there, herby, some citrus orange fruits. Fine.

Cask conditioned handpump Vin IV Leicester A light amber coloured beer with a nice fruity berry filled aroma. In the mouth there are more fruits together with biscuit flavours. Interesting and tasty.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark gold with a small white head. Rather rough wet dog malt in the aroma. Refreshing earthy malt taste. Perhaps a little apple sourness. Mid bitter finished. Unadorned beer, really rather effective.
