3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 PolishHammer (124) - Norwalk, Connecticut, USA - JUL 5, 2010
Cask. Clear, dark amber with off-white head. Not much in the way of overwhelming hoppy aroma...very subtle. Flavor is well balanced to the style... Peppery bittering hops dominate, but are well supported from amber malt. Refreshing, easy to drink IPA that’s not overly bitter.

Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured with some alcohol present. A little dryness in a bitter hop finish.

Cask handpull, The Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. Orange amber with white frills and collar. Nothing aroma: paper spread with marmalade. That stale plastic lunchbox taste again; mango unable to shine, stale oak and nuts.. Dunno where the Cascade went. Ill-judged.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wyzzywyz22 (1474) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2010
Cask@The Rake, London. Standard golden looks with minimal head. Some citrus and hop in the nose but all a bit restrained and not leaping out as much as I’d hoped. Similar story in the flavour, I’m a big fan of cascade but they aren’t really prominent enough here sadly. Reasonable balance, bitterness ok. Perfectly drinkable, just lacking any sort of killer blow really.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (9608) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2010
Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2010. Copper gold colour. Bit of fart as well as hop on aroma. It’s ok, not very Cascade-y, some hop, but could be hoppier
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 berkshirejohn (2834) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2008
Cask at the Babington Arms (JDW), Derby. Gold with a dense cream head; citrus aroma; sharp grapefruit flavour with a long bitter finish. Just what I’d expect from Cascade.
