3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 downender (4380) - Bristol, - APR 17, 2008
Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/4/08. Golden coloured with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Attractive grapefruit and pine hop aroma with a touch of sweet malt. The flavour was also hoppy with some more resinous pine which left an almost prickly mouth feel and a long, satisfying dry finish. Excellent.

Cask handpump @ Reading Beer Festival 2008. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, flowers, lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is metalic bitter. (010508)
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10067) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2008
Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Biscuit bread aroma. Not the greatest IPA, decent hop and well put together. Finish is great, very chinooky, but overall pretty restrained.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival. Hazy amber brown. Reasonable hops, good earthy malt and some nice greenery going on. I love Fin’s note of ’lazy citrusness’. A little bit harsh but tasty all the same.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2008
Cask at Reading Beer Festival 02-05-08 following a two hour queue to get in grrrr! Pours golden hazy orangey amber in colour. This starts off with a nice tangy and hoppy thrust, this hoppiness softens quite quickly and there is lazy citrussness that takes over, the finish is really quite dry and it has to be said that this beer really is quite lovely.

Cask in Blackfriars. Aroma is grassy bittering hop, malty, yeasty, still hazy after over a weeks racking. Taste is similar unintresting though quite drinkable, but lacking any characteristics of the hop itself. Im guessing flying firkin ruined this in transport.
