3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Benjii (2328) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 24, 2011
On cask at The Bow Bar Summer Beer Festival, 2011. A golden ale with a thin white head. Clear as a bell. Aroma of ginger and malt. Nice ginger flavour. Not too sweet. A little dry also with mild carbonation. Nice dry ginger linger. One of the better ginger beers I’ve tried although not as good as the Marble. I enjoyed the half I ordered but wouldn’t have ordered a pint.

Cask (handpump) @ Bankers Draft, Sheffield, England. @ [ RBESG 09 ]. Golden/amber color with a creamy lasting head. Sweet malty aroma with lots of ginger. Ginger flavor with some hoppy notes. Better than some gingers i had on the trip but still not my thing.

[RBESG, Sheffield]
Cask @ Bankers Draft, Sheffield.
Pours hazy, pale golden with a nice, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has ginger, sweet malts, a little biscuit. Prickly, low carbonation, fair and rather light mouthfeel. Flavour is pretty sweet, some slight peppery ginger. Good bitterness in the finish, though. Dry and lightly hopped, the ginger sadly only pops by as the initial flavour.
