Cask at Southampton Arms. Orange/amber coloured with small thin white head. Aroma slightly fruity, lemony but not that strong. Taste is quite sharp, bit of citrus and a bit of sour dairy. Increasingly bitter finish. Not so bad, but but bland compared to the Sorachi Ace one.

A Mes rate. Cask from the Market Porter but drunk in the Rake, thanks to Tom for bringing it over.
Clean amber gold with a thin white film top. Full of diacetyl and pond water. The Nelson Sauvin is quite clear but it’s just not given the chance to shine at all. Lots of earth in the finish. Yup, I’m done. The worst Sauvin hopped beer I’ve had.

Cask at the Rake, 14th May 2010. Strong passionfruit nose. Amber colour with no head. Nasty initial taste, then some malt sweetness and finally a bit of a dry finish. Unfortunately each mouthful was worse than the last and I really didn’t get on with this.
