Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear. Golden, clear colour with bubbly off white head. Citrus aroma, some farty yeast. OK in mouth, some juiciness, bit of smoke. Dusty hop finish. Some very nice hop on end though.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, London on 6 December 2006. Straw colour with a thin white head. Reasonably hoppy aroma - more fruity than flowery. Fairly dry and clean on the palate but not packed with flavour. Light, dry mouthfeel. Refreshing enough but a bit understated and short of depth. Middle of the road - certainly not one of Acorn’s more distinctive efforts in my view.

Pigs Ear. Pleasant lagerish blonde with flowery hops leading into an English hop bite in the finish. Nice.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Pigs Ear BF. An orange coloured beer quite vibrant looking in the glass. The aroma is fruity with good fragrant hops, and a little biscuity malt. The taste is hoppy and fruity. Quite sharp at times with nice malts. ANother good beer from a consistent brewer, although not one of their best.
