Bottle. Black with a beige bubble head. Aromas are earthy, sweet and dry with coffee and chocolate. Flavours are chocolate and coffee with some peatiness. Smooth on the palate and dry on the finish. A little thin, but decent. The cask version is better.

May 26, 2007 Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Reddish black beer with a lightly roasted aroma and a roasted, mildly coffee and spiced flavour. Overall a nice smokey/roasted beer.

Apr 22, 2005 Bottle. A nice, dry, quite roasty porter. Light bodied for a porter, but with some nice bitter coffee and chocolate flavours, a nice one, even though its not very complex or anything.
