Cask; Regular.
A full bodied victorian style porter with hints of liquorice. The initial bitterness gives way to a smooth, mellow finish.

Cask, Volunteers Arms, GBBF 07. Almost black, thin tan head. Nose is chocolate, hint of milk, gentle roasted. Quite inoffensive roasted mouth with a sour watery aftertaste. Quite quenching, slightly sweet.

Cask Conditioned at The Castle, Furnival St., London
Black color. The delicate aroma of roasted nuts is quite nice. It has a dry mouthfeel, with chocolate and roasted malt, surely pleasant for the estimators of the style (more a Stout than a Porter though). The final is basically roasted malt.

On gravity at Swindon BF 30/10/08. Near black with a decent tan head. Big aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malts and caramel. Flavour had plenty more roastiness, some dark fruit and a long dry finish. Very good.

Gravity at Swindon Beerex08. Oily, mucky chocolate flavours that linger with leafy hops. Good.

Cask @ Market Porter, London.
Pours a great, translucent black with a small, creamy, off-white head. Nice soft aroma, fine roastiness and chocolate. Low carbonation, good mouthfeel. Flavour has light coffee, liquorice and chocolate. Very dry finish. Very nice.
