M0RHI (1041), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Aug 13, 2007 Cask, Volunteers Arms, GBBF 07. Almost black, thin tan head. Nose is chocolate, hint of milk, gentle roasted. Quite inoffensive roasted mouth with a sour watery aftertaste. Quite quenching, slightly sweet.

It has a dry mouthfeel, with chocolate and roasted malt, surely pleasant for the estimators of the style (more a Stout than a Porter though). The final is basically roasted malt. downender (1732), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 31, 2008 On gravity at Swindon BF 30/10/08. Near black with a decent tan head. Big aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malts and caramel. Flavour had plenty more roastiness, some dark fruit and a long dry finish. Very good. evilsoc (186), Wales Oct 31, 2008 Gravity at Swindon Beerex08. Oily, mucky chocolate flavours that linger with leafy hops. Good. hughie (2415), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Oct 12, 2008 Cask, gravity, at Bedford BF ’08. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Espresso aroma. Slight sour cream coffee taste with lingering bitterness. Good one. thewolf (4153), Kolding, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Cask @ Market Porter, London.<br />
Pours a great, translucent black with a small, creamy, off-white head. Nice soft aroma, fine roastiness and chocolate. Low carbonation, good mouthfeel. Flavour has light coffee, liquorice and chocolate. Very dry finish. Very nice.
