Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Rich fruity beer, there is a slight sulphery nose to it but the Burtonisation gives it depth. Lots of fruity hops, nice and bright. Good stuff.

Hand pulled pint in the excellent ’Crown Inn’ Oakengates, Shropshire; Oct 2011. The pint glass looked good, a deep, rich golden body not lager gold, this was fuller and depth. On top sat a full white head that later gave some heavy lacing as I downed the beer. Saaz hops gave it a citrusy nose, but didn’t infect the taste to much (I don’t like a beer to be too citrusy in the mouth), they did however give the beer a bitter finish compared to the more floral feel the brew implied initially. Thought it was going to be better than it was to be honest, looked fine but failed to excite or ignite my tastebuds.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 21.11.11 Pours mid gold without to much of a head. Fairly safe bitter from Acorn, however there is a nice hoppiness, its got a middling bitterness running through it and there is a nice fruitiness also. Not quite what I expected but not bad. Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 13/10/10. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Citrus hop and cereal malt aroma. Flavour had more cereals, touch of fruit and decent, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask Handpump at the Greyhound, Grizebeck 13/06/2009 Floral hop aroma. Small white head. Clear golden coloured hoppy and slightly sweet on the palate with a little dryness in a lasting malt finish.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Light pale malt character, tad grainy, dominated by citrus lemon and hints of mandarin freshness. Tasty stuff.
