Cask; Seasonal - Spring. Brewed for St Georges Day.
A beautiful traditional rich amber coloured beer with sweet roast malts, good bitterness levels and a delicate citrus aroma.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, red-gold pour with a weak head. Basic toasted malt nose. Mildly sweet flavor, sun-kissed bread, grassy and floral bitters. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mostly bitter finish with some toasty bread. The hops linger. Decent, very straight-ahead bitter.

Clear medium amber color with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - roasted, nutty notes, light to moderate hoppy, apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet, light light acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, apple tart notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100424]

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Copper colour, bit musty really. Very good drinkable beer, but just an odd mustiness to it.

Cask, The Wellington, Birmingham. Dark brown with a very small off-white foamy head. Sweet caramel scent. Very sweet and watery. Some bitterness. Toffee in the mouth, with some lemon acidity leading to a dry end.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2010 1. Cask Handpump at the Crescent, Salford 23/04/2004 Mid brown coloured with some sour fruit flavour. Slightly dry and bitter on the palate with a lasting roast finish. 2. Cask Handpump at the Harlequin, Sheffield 24/04/2010 Malt and hop aromas. Amber coloured and fruity with a passion fruit flavour. Hoppy with a hint of dryness in a bitter malt finish.
