A Mes rate: Cask at the Crown Inn, Stockport.
Clean pale gold, very good condition and a thin white head that lasts all the way down. Good pungent hoppage with an excellent pale malt base giving some lovely biscuit notes and a very slight hint of ginger. The hops are a little too astringent in the mouth and end up a little on the harsh side. Good citric notes sort it out though and again the malt works really well. Good bitterness on the finish with more of the faint but enjoyable ginger. Good stuff from Acorn.

Imagine this...You’re sitting in the beer garden of a fine Mancunian pub (And yes, besides it being a fine Mancunian pub, it’s also sunny outside), Mes’s round. He returns to the table with two beers, this being one. Ok, as a normal human being/ratebeerian you acknowledge and proceed with your rate but, as a fan of The Mighty Boosh, all you hear in your mind is Sandstorm, storm of sand. At this point it becomes quite the challenge to rate...
Golden with a white head. Nose of ginger, grassy hop and soap with some fruity, earthy malts under. Quite a bitter grassy hop bite and a sort of appley, earthy malt wash. Nice dry bitter finish...I’ll be back to polish you later, you little pine tart...
