Cask at the Shovell Inn, Lye. Apparently this beer is not retired. Dry bitter, with some orange peel notes - which I assume are part of the joke. Great pub this - marvellous in fact. Liked the beer: dry, manly, tangy.

Cask handpull, The Pub, Leicester, 14/10/12. Bright-foamed brassy gold. Lemony, grassy, slight rabbit fur aroma. Good crisp citrus hop and lingering biscuit flavour; grapefruit, Rich Tea, soapy bitterness. Cashew, husk and tonic afters.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW London. Pours clear garnet wth a foamy head. Toffee and caramel on the nose. Lightly sweet flavor, more toffee, burnt sugar, some ripe citrus bitterness, dirt. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, somewhat sticky, hops in the throat, some fruits. Nice.

Some hop aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and a little creamy on the palate. Crisp and slightly dry malt finish.
