Cask handpull at Market Porter. Gold, thin white head. Not in great condition, some earthy hop. Bit one dimensional, some blackcurrant on finish. Decent.

Cask, Solihull ’08. Disappointing on top of the single varietal loveliness of Pictish Liberty. Musty green hopleaf aroma, fibrous woody notes, almond hint of alcohol. Bit bleachy and harsh. Long oaty afters clinging with hop bitterness. Lacks aromatics, but still a fairly decently hopped GA.

Cask@Burton Summer Beer Festival, 2008. Golden beer with a lightly roasted and slightly sour aroma. The flavour is vinous, toffee, dry and bitter. Overall a nice vinous and dry beer.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2008 A Mes rate: cask at the Market Porter.
Clean gold looks with a white head and lots of lace. Straight down the line nettley and herbal hoppage all round. Nice and grassy with a good bitter finish. Nothing unusual but it’s certainly the best one hop IPA from Acorn that I have had.
