Cask handpull at Market Porter. Very pale gold, thin off white head. Decent golden ale, more hops than most beers in this style. Only a touch of soapy hop, mostly good sherbert. OK golden ale. I like Acorn. Decent spritzey condition.

19/3/12 - Wetherspoons in Woodseats, Sheffield. Ordinary number with an unremarkable body or taste. Far from offensive, but swift to move on to others.

Cask. Very pale yellow. Thin lace top. Lemony scent. Floral hoppy taste with strong aeration and light to medium body. Pleasant fruit residue on the palate. I’m not a hopy pale fan but this deserves a place in the broad church of ale. At least it’s not lager!

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is quite sweet of grain, citrusy lemon and apricot plus some hop spiciness. Taste of apricot, lemon, some grain and biscuit earthiness. Light bodied and soft carbonation, little sweetness. A dry, earthy bitterness in the finish. Quite a pleasant, golden ale.
