3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 dwyerpg (3574) - Las Vegas, USA - FEB 17, 2007
This beer is pretty decent, although much maltier than hoppy for a so-called APA. However, how can one pass up the opportunity of such an awesomely named brew. This thing is right up there with Polygamy Porter in terms of marketability. Gets it extra point in the overall category for that.

Pours copper with an olive tinge and a decent off-white head. There is a light malt aroma and a substantial caramel malt flavor with a bone dry finish. There is just enough hop bitterness to be interesting.

Fist of killer name for a beer props for that. The beer had lots of fruity hints I kept picking up on a slight apple which was different and good. The after-taste was a little to sweet. All in all flavour was good.

This amber pours a medium amber color from a 120z bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of lactic sourness. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and sweet, caramel and bready. It’s a touch sour and may be past its prime. Hops are slightly bitter. Its a touch less sweet than you’re average brew pub amber, but that’s about it. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Dull gold appearance – lingering head- Pineapple, clove, nutmeg, and cognacish nose- raw dough, and sour apple taste- aftertaste sweet with the dough taste lingering

Bottle. Great Sex Brewing Company. Rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Green apple and fruit aroma with a bit of sweet malt. Caramel malt with some fruit hop flavors and a bit of earthiness. Medium bodied. Nice, drinkable beer.

This is contract brewed by Beermann’s of Lincoln/Roseville CA. It’s a nice ale. A bit light on hop, similar to Red Tale Ale. I tried this in Tazino Bistro in Woodland, CA. At least the restaurant was a bit adventuresome. This town is not usually on the edge. Someone is having fun here. And it really is a very nice ale. The label is rather classic.
