Bottled, thanks MarkoNm! Hazy nut brown, small head. Buttery nose with some toast, red berries and hay. Sweet with light body and well rounded mouthfeel. Some caramel and chocolate, quite heavy on diacetyl. Low bitterness.

Kita (1834) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JUN 6, 2015
Draught at 3. Festival Mikropivovarjev, Koper. Cloudy dark brown color with small creamy tan-like head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt and grass. Taste starts with sweet caramel and roasted malt, follows nutty and grassy with mild spicy mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Light to medium body, sticky texture and average carbonation in palate. Not much fuss about it...

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2015 Pours a dark brown color, topped with a medium sized off-white head. Mild roasty aroma with some notes of caramel and coffee. Grassy notes sitting in the back. A perfect dark lager nose. Sweet start with some roastiness with that needed soury feel, very gentle. Mild bitterness. A bit watery perhaps, light and nicely drinkable. Very likeable.

Cloudy dark bronw beer topped by a thin off-white head. Pretty strange roasty nose reminds me of burnt buckwheat galettes which is not a particularly pleasant smell, but reminds of fond memories and hits the spot. Besides that, it stays focused on rather sweet, biscuit meets toffee sugary malts. Fortunately, the carbonation does the necessary cleansing job to reduce the sugary feel from that surprisingly frail body . Far from perfect, but still one of my favourite Slovenian dunkels from possibly my favourite brewer in the country.

Gazza (726) - Worcester, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2004
Hazy mid brown beer with a sweet, caramelly aroma. Fairly malty and with some flowery hop character and a strange wheaty/bread like character lurking in the background. Rather sickly sweet finish, a bit too sweet for me. Beware if you do the little train here from Ljubljana, it's opposite Rodica station not Domzale - it's a 20 minute walk from there (as we found out). (sampled on draught in the brewpub)
