Bottle. Quite malty, nutty, bready, with some sweet caramel notes. Finish shows some light grassy hop notes. A slightly sweeter German dunkel. Not too bad in the end.

Nov 16, 2007 Bottle from the E-center in Bad Staffelstein. Chestnut coloured with a slight head. Slightly sweet caramel aroma with some almond nuttiness. Flavours of red fruit and toffee with an abrupt dry finish. Ok.

Jan 8, 2007 Bottle. Brown color. Caramel and some flowery hops in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor. Medium bodied. Hint of chocolate in the aftertaste. Tasty dunkel.

Oct 8, 2004 Bottle, from Vroni’s in Bamberg. Chestnut red, moderate off white head and gentle condition. Disappointingly brief aromas of caramel and buttery toffee, much the same in the mouth but with an emerging hop note that soon disappears. Finish is mainly burnt toffee with a touch of bitterness.
