Cask (handpump) @ Blackfriars, 36 Bell St, Merchant City, Glasgow G1 1LG, Scotland.
Unclear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate apple, wood, light barnyard. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Very easy to drink and refreshing. [20090410]

An unclear yellow cider with no head. The aroma is of apples combined with notes of wood. The flavor is sweet and dominated by apples - and quite dry, but the body is thin.

Keg at The Lampett Arms, Tadmarton, Oxon. Greenish yellow, carbonated. Semi sweet cider lacking bight but relatively drinkable. Strangely watery, could be the dispense.

Pale buff colour. Very cloudy. This masquerades as a traditional farmhouse cider, but, in reality. although it’s better than Strongbow and Woodpecker, it’s fairly commercial stuff. There is a slightly funky aroma but, although there’s lots of apple in the flavour, it must be sweetened up to suit less discerning palates. OK. On tap at the Black Friar, Blackfriars, London.
